Nittany Game Week Expands Reach for Sixth Season, Tapping into 24 Million Viewers Across Eight States

Penn State's beloved pregame show, 'Nittany Game Week,' is entering its sixth season with unprecedented reach, now broadcasting to more than 24 million people across eight states. The show, featuring former Nittany Lions coaches Tom Bradley and Jay Paterno, and hosted by FOX43 Sports Director Todd Sadowski, has become a staple for Penn State fans, offering an insider's look at the team before each game.

The 2026 season marks a significant expansion for the program, with FOX 29 Philadelphia joining the Nittany Game Week Network as its newest station. This addition extends the show's footprint into the Philadelphia market, complementing its existing coverage in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, New Jersey, and Virginia. Moreover, the show will be available on Reach TV in 90 U.S. airports, including 48 of the top 50, ensuring that Nittany Lions fans can catch the action from coast to coast.

Beyond its traditional pregame format, Nittany Game Week has evolved into a year-round destination for Penn State sports coverage. The show features exclusive scouting reports, 'Impact Interviews,' fan questions, and game-day photo submissions, extending its run through May to cover the entire spectrum of Nittany Lions athletics. As Jay Paterno puts it, 'We give Nittany Lions fans the kind of insight you can't get anywhere else. Tom and I bring decades of experience, our guests bring unique perspectives, and with Todd, we're able to preview the game while telling the stories that make Penn State athletics so special.'

The show kicks off on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29, with broadcasts scheduled across multiple networks. On Fridays, viewers can tune in at 6:30 p.m. on FOX43 WPMT in York/Harrisburg/Lancaster, PA, and at 10:00 p.m. on DelMarVa Sports Network in Salisbury, MD. Saturdays feature a full slate of morning broadcasts, starting at 6:00 a.m. on WSEE-TV The CW in Erie, PA, and continuing with 7:30 a.m. on FOX 29 WTXF in Philadelphia, 8:00 a.m. on WNEP2 in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, 8:30 a.m. on FOX 8 WWCP in Altoona/Johnstown/State College, 9:00 a.m. on FOX43 WPMT and WYFX in Youngstown, OH, 9:30 a.m. on FOX 53 WPGH in Pittsburgh, FOX 8 WWCP, BIG FOX WYDC in Elmira/Cortland, NY, and FOX & NBC 9 WTOV in Wheeling, WV, 11:00 a.m. on DelMarVa Sports Network, and 11:30 a.m. on ABC 16 WNEP and ABC 23 WWCP. Episodes and additional content are also available online, including the show's YouTube channel and digital platforms.

The show's success is driven by its experienced team. Tom Bradley, who captained Penn State's 1978 team and was named AP Defensive Coordinator of the Year in 2005, brings a wealth of defensive knowledge. Jay Paterno, with over 20 years of college coaching experience including 17 at Penn State, provides offensive insights and has been instrumental in developing some of the conference's most explosive offenses. Todd Sadowski, a fixture in Pennsylvania sports media for over two decades, anchors the show with his deep connection to Penn State football.

The expansion of Nittany Game Week underscores the growing demand for specialized college football content, particularly in the era of NIL and evolving conference dynamics. As the show reaches new audiences, it continues to serve as a vital link between the team and its passionate fan base, offering analysis and storytelling that go beyond the typical pregame show.
